Chicken breast slices are an inexpensive and very tasty second course. That’s why I always enjoy finding new recipes and ways to cook it. Chicken breast in puff pastry is truly a dish to die for!
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Inexpensive
- Preparation time: 20 Minutes
- Cooking time: 40 Minutes
- Portions: 4 people
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 1.1 lbs Chicken breast (8 slices)
- 2.8 oz Emmentaler (sliced)
- 3.5 oz Cooked ham (sliced)
- to taste Curry (powdered)
- to taste Fine salt
- to taste Black pepper (ground)
- 2 rolls Puff pastry
- to taste Sesame seeds
Preparation
Place the chicken slices on a sheet of parchment paper, cover them with another sheet of parchment paper, and flatten them with a meat tenderizer.
Salt and pepper the chicken breast, add half a slice of ham and half a slice of Emmentaler on top, and roll lengthwise.
Unroll the puff pastry on a surface, sprinkle it generously with curry powder, and cut it into strips slightly wider than the chicken rolls.
Place the roll on the puff pastry and wrap it inside, pressing the sides well to seal and prevent the filling from leaking out.
Spray a 2.2-liter (6 servings) rectangular baking dish with spray butter, place the rolls inside, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake in a convection oven at 356°F (180°C) for about 40 minutes.
Notes
To grease the baking dish, I used spray butter, but you can replace it with stick butter or parchment paper.
