I really love making desserts for Saturday and Sunday breakfast, as only on weekends do we have more time to sit and eat together without constantly checking the clock! So I decided to try making these Cinnamon Shortcrust Baskets with Figs and Concord Grapes, which, to my surprise, even my daughter, who is very hard to please, liked!

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
7 tbsps butter
cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp ground cinnamon (level teaspoon)
12 tsp fig jam
10 figs
1 bunch Concord grapes
as needed butter (spray for the molds)
as needed all-purpose flour (to sprinkle the molds)

Preparation

Place the flour as a mound on a work surface, make a hole in the center, add the eggs, sugar, softened butter, cinnamon, and start kneading without overworking the ingredients until the dough is smooth and no longer sticky.
Form a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and put it in the fridge for about half an hour.

Roll out the shortcrust pastry with a rolling pin, it should be slightly thick.
Line molds of diameter 4 inches, previously greased and sprinkled with flour.
Level the edge so that it is all the same height, add two teaspoons of jam inside the basket, the figs quartered, and Concord grapes.
Bake in the oven at 356°F for 25/30 minutes
