For those who love ethnic cuisine like me, Curry and Yogurt Chicken Drumsticks are a must-try. I adore them, a simple recipe that pleases everyone at my house.

Ingredients

  • 2.2 lbs chicken drumsticks (7 drumsticks)
  • 2 tsp curry powder (in powder)
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp fine salt
  • 1.6 cups plain natural yogurt (3 containers)
  • as needed olive oil

Steps

  • Pour the spices and salt into a large container.

  • Add the yogurt and mix well.

  • Place the drumsticks in the container.

  • Cover the drumsticks thoroughly with the yogurt mixture. You can let it rest overnight, for a few hours, or if you’re in a hurry, just for a few minutes.

  • Lightly oil a baking pan, then place the drumsticks and yogurt with spices inside. Bake in the oven at 356°F for about an hour. For the last quarter-hour, use the fan setting; the drumsticks will become crispier.

  • And now enjoy them!

Tips and Advice

The longer you let the chicken rest in the yogurt sauce, the more flavorful it will become, absorbing the aroma of the spices.
