Ingredients
- 2.2 lbs chicken drumsticks (7 drumsticks)
- 2 tsp curry powder (in powder)
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp fine salt
- 1.6 cups plain natural yogurt (3 containers)
- as needed olive oil
Steps
Pour the spices and salt into a large container.
Add the yogurt and mix well.
Place the drumsticks in the container.
Cover the drumsticks thoroughly with the yogurt mixture. You can let it rest overnight, for a few hours, or if you’re in a hurry, just for a few minutes.
Lightly oil a baking pan, then place the drumsticks and yogurt with spices inside. Bake in the oven at 356°F for about an hour. For the last quarter-hour, use the fan setting; the drumsticks will become crispier.
And now enjoy them!
Tips and Advice
The longer you let the chicken rest in the yogurt sauce, the more flavorful it will become, absorbing the aroma of the spices.
