You can try this Custard Cream with Cherry Syrup, an alternative to classic custard cream to fill your pastries or to give an extra touch of flavor to your desserts!
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Cheap
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 1 serving
- Cooking methods: Stovetop
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 2 tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- 1 packet Vanillin (0.5 g)
- 10 teaspoons Cherry Syrup
- 7 oz Milk
Preparation
Put the milk and vanillin in a small saucepan and heat.
In a bowl, beat the egg with the sugar using a whisk, then add the flour and mix well. Gradually add the hot milk to the bowl with the mixture while stirring continuously.
Pour everything back into the saucepan and thicken while stirring constantly with a whisk. Let it cool slightly, add the cherry juice and allow the cream to cool.
Tips/Advice
If you prefer a more intense flavor, I recommend adding a few more teaspoons of cherry syrup, but in this case, you will need to increase the flour quantity as well.
