Green Beans in Coats

These Green Beans in Coats are ideal if you’re looking for a dish to prepare with two ingredients and in record time. I recommend this appetizer, which you can also serve as a side dish. Even faster if you have pre-blanched green beans ready in the freezer.

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Affordable
  • Preparation time: 20 Minutes
  • Cooking time: 20 Minutes
  • Portions: 4 people
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 9 oz Blanched green beans
  • 7 oz Sliced bacon
  • to taste Olive oil
  • to taste Fine salt

Preparation

  • Sauté the previously blanched green beans in a pan with a bit of oil and a pinch of salt if necessary.

Remove them from the pan and let them cool.

  • Gather the green beans into bundles of about 1.7 oz each, you will get 5 bundles.

  • Wrap each bundle of green beans with the bacon slices, placing the closing part of the bacon downwards (to prevent them from opening during cooking).

  • Now place the rolls in a pan. Brown them on both sides for a few minutes (no need to add oil).

If you prefer, you can add a small piece of cheese slice on top and let it melt. It will make them even more delicious.

Suggestions/Tips

If you prefer, instead of bacon slices, you can also use cooked or raw ham, or turkey slices.

To have green beans always ready, in the summer I blanch them and freeze them, so I can use them whenever needed.
