Ingredients
- 2.2 lbs Pork Loin
- 4.4 lbs Coarse Salt
Preparation
Take a deep baking dish, the diameter will obviously vary depending on the size of the meat. Place a layer of salt on the bottom, put the pork loin on top, and then cover it completely with the remaining salt.
Bake at 284°F for about 75 minutes. It will be ready when you see the salt detach from the meat. Remove from oven, break the salt surface with a spoon.
Remove from the salt, place it on a plate, and slice with a very sharp knife.
It will be juicy and tender.
Notes
The salt-baked pork loin is excellent when served with sauces of your liking. The Chestnut Sauce is great and you can find it here.
