Pizza Dough Pinwheels are a quick recipe to use for a brunch or picnic, sometimes I prepare them as a snack or appetizer, but I count them, otherwise we risk not eating the dishes prepared for dinner anymore!
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Inexpensive
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Cooking time: 25 Minutes
- Portions: 4 servings
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 1 Pizza dough (rectangular package)
- 7 oz Emmental cheese (sliced)
- 10.5 oz Cooked ham (sliced)
- 1.4 oz Green olives
- as needed Butter (spray)
Preparation
Unroll the pizza dough, place a layer of sliced cooked ham on top, followed by a layer of sliced Emmental cheese, and finally the green olives.
Roll up lengthwise and then cut into slices about 0.8 inches thick (it makes about ten slices).
Place parchment paper on the baking sheet and position the slices on top, spray them with a bit of butter spray and bake at 356°F for 20-25 minutes in a convection oven.
Notes
For this recipe, I used spray butter; I know it has nothing to do with the butter you find in blocks at the store, but in this specific case, I find it convenient. Obviously, you can use small pieces of block butter as an alternative.
For convenience and to save time, I used store-bought pizza dough. If you want to make it yourself, here is the recipe.
