Seafood Spaghetti

For those who love fish dishes, I suggest this quick, exquisite, and easy-to-prepare main course. For this Seafood Spaghetti, I used a frozen seafood mix that you can always have available in your freezer and that is ready in a few minutes. Of course, you can prepare the seafood mix yourself with mussels, clams, fresh shrimp, cherry tomatoes, garlic, and parsley. A quick and flavorful main course.

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Medium
  • Preparation time: 20 Minutes
  • Portions: 4 people
  • Cooking methods: Stovetop
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 14 oz clams (frozen with shell)
  • 1.1 lbs seafood mix (frozen)
  • to taste fine salt
  • to taste black pepper (ground)
  • to taste parsley (dried)
  • 2 tsps coarse salt

Preparation

  • In a skillet with a little oil, place the seafood mix along with the clams. Cover with a lid and let the clams open; it will take about ten minutes to thaw everything.

Meanwhile, put plenty of water in a pot; as soon as it boils, add the coarse salt and the spaghetti. About 3 minutes before the cooking time, drain them and put them directly into the skillet with the fish. Continue cooking for about 5 more minutes, adding the pasta cooking water. Adjust the salt, pepper, and add a bit of parsley. Serve hot.

Suggestions/Tips

The frozen seafood mix is easily found in supermarkets and is composed of shell-on mussels, shell-on clams, prawns, tomatoes, oil, parsley, basil, salt, garlic, chili pepper. If you want, you can easily prepare it at home; I use the frozen product when I’m in a hurry and have little time.
