Spinach Roll Filled with Ham and Cheese

A way to get children to eat vegetables. Beautiful, colorful, and tasty, you can also use it for a picnic if you like.

My daughter, who usually doesn’t like to see “green” on her plate, loves this Spinach Roll Filled with Ham and Cheese!

Ingredients

  • 5 oz Boiled spinach
  • 7 oz Sliced Emmentaler
  • 5 oz Sliced cooked ham
  • 6 Eggs
  • 3 tbsps Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 pinches Fine salt
  • to taste Ground black pepper

Preparation

  • In a mixer, put the boiled spinach, add the eggs, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper, and blend until the mixture is smooth.

  • Spread parchment paper on a baking tray measuring 12×15 inches and place the mixture inside, level it well, and bake at 392°F for 15 minutes in a static oven or at 356°F for 15 minutes in a fan oven.

  • Once cooked, place a layer of cheese (sliced or grated) on top, and then a layer of ham.

  • Roll it up carefully, using a kitchen towel, and place in a fan oven at 392°F for 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
    Serve hot, in slices.

Suggestions/advice

You can also use another type of cheese, as long as it is not too watery. You can also grate it instead of using slices.


If you use fresh spinach, you will need about 10.5 oz. Clean them well and put them raw in a mixer along with the eggs, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Blend until you get a smooth mixture.
