- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 10.5 oz stale bread
- 3 eggs
- 1.75 oz grated Parmesan
- 1 pinch fine salt
- 1 pinch black pepper (ground)
- 4 slices cooked ham
- 4 slices smoked provola
- 1 cup milk
Preparation
Cut the bread into small cubes, soak it with some milk until it becomes soft.
Add the grated Parmesan, eggs, salt, and pepper.
Mix the mixture well until the ingredients are well combined.
In a slightly oiled pan, spread the mixture evenly, place the ham slices, then the cheese slices on top.
Cover everything with the remaining mixture, spreading it well.
Cook for about 10 minutes on each side and serve hot.
Notes
Instead of cooked ham, you can choose another deli meat, such as salami or prosciutto.
You can also decide to use other types of cheese, as long as they are not watery, otherwise the omelette would be too liquid.
