Stuffed Pork Loin Rolls

Cooking while camping? Yes, you can, with simple recipes and a few ingredients, like these Stuffed Pork Loin Rolls. Also, no elaborate tools are needed, just a non-stick pan.

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Economical
  • Preparation time: 20 Minutes
  • Portions: 4 people
  • Cooking methods: Stovetop
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 14 oz pork loin
  • 4 oz emmental cheese (sliced or similar cheese)
  • 4 oz cooked ham (sliced)
  • to taste fine salt

Steps

  • Flatten the pork loin slices with a meat tenderizer. We didn’t have one while camping, so we used the bottom of a water bottle. I admit, it was a pleasant discovery.

  • Now slightly salt one slice.

  • Place half a slice of cheese on top, add half a slice of ham.

  • Then roll it up. If you have a toothpick to secure the rolls, use it. We didn’t have one, but they stayed closed anyway.

  • Place the pork loin rolls in a non-stick pan. We made eight rolls.

  • Cook them well on all sides.

  • Once well browned and golden, they are ready to be enjoyed.

  • And bon appétit!

Suggestions, Tips

To flatten the meat, we used the bottom of a water bottle, as we were not well-equipped while camping. A meat tenderizer would be better!
