I love cookies, I enjoy making them with various ingredients. For these Whole Wheat Muesli Cookies, I wanted to try combining whole wheat flour, brown sugar, and muesli with fruit and flakes, a truly delicious combination. Of course, you must like strong and slightly rustic flavors.
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 20 Minutes
- Portions: 16 cookies
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 7 oz muesli with fruit and flakes
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 3.5 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 pinch fine salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
Preparation
Put the eggs with the brown sugar in a bowl and beat them well with a whisk.
Now add a pinch of salt and the oil slowly while continuing to stir with the whisk.
At this point, pour in the muesli and mix the ingredients well with the whisk.
Finally, add the flour and baking soda. It is now advisable to mix with a wooden spoon as the mixture will be slightly stiff.
Now take a tablespoon of the mixture (about 1 oz) and place it on the baking tray covered with parchment paper. Use another spoon to help drop the mixture if it sticks.
Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes.
Suggestions/Tips
For a richer flavor, I wanted to use muesli with fruit and flakes.
With a 15-minute bake time, the cookies will be softer; at 20 minutes, they will be crunchier.
