ACE Jam

If you love citrus fruits, you can’t miss my delicious ACE JAM. It only takes a few ingredients and no thickeners! Try it to believe it!

You can use it to fill cakes or cream puffs and it’s perfect for both breakfast and snack.

Moreover, it is a great gift idea.

To prepare this jam I used the Thermomix but below you will also find the steps to cook it with the classic pot.

Ingredients

  • 2 carrots
  • 1 apple
  • 2 oranges
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 packet vanillin (optional)

Tools

  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Pot

Steps

  • Peel the carrots, remove the ends, cut them into pieces and place them in the bowl.

    Peel the apple, remove the core and seeds, cut it into pieces, and add it to the carrots.

    Blend for 30 seconds at speed 5.

    Bring everything to the bottom with the spatula.

    Peel the oranges and lemons, making sure to remove the white part.

    Slice the citrus fruits and add them to the Thermomix along with the apple and carrot mixture.

  • Add the sugar, water, and vanillin and cook for about 40 minutes at 203 degrees Fahrenheit, speed 1.

    Continue cooking for an additional 10 minutes at varoma temperature.

    Our ACE jam is ready.

    Pour into jars previously sterilized.

    Boil the filled jars for 30 minutes.

  • Peel the carrots, remove the ends, cut them into pieces, and finely chop them with a chopper or food processor.

  • Pour the obtained mixture into a pot, preferably wide and low.

    along with the peeled and sliced oranges and lemons.

  • Add the water, sugar, and vanillin, stir with a wooden spoon, and cook for about 35/40 minutes with a lid.

  • Finish with another 5 minutes of cooking without a lid.

    Once ready, pour into jars previously sterilized.

    Boil the filled jars for 30 minutes.

Storage and advice …

After opening, store strictly in the fridge and consume within 10 days.

Store in a cool, dry place and consume within 6 months.
