This dish is perfect for a family lunch or to surprise guests with irresistible comfort food.
You can prepare it the night before and bake it an hour before sitting down to eat. This baked pasta is a great alternative to Lasagna with Eggs and Ham or to Lasagna with Shrimp and Asparagus, but also to the classic Lasagna with Pumpkin Cream and Sausage.
In any case, with simple ingredients and in no time, you’ll bring to the table a revisited version of the classic Sunday dish.

Steps
Let’s prepare the béchamel sauce. You can use my recipe found HERE or you can use the store-bought one.
Cut the mozzarella into cubes and the cooked ham into strips. Peel and crumble the sausage.
Bring a pot of salted water to boil and cook the penne rigate. Half-cook them, drain, and place them in a large bowl.
Add the béchamel sauce and mix. Combine the mozzarella, cooked ham, sausage, 50 grams (1/4 cup) of grated Parmesan and mix with a wooden spoon.
Pour the pasta into a baking dish, level with a spoon and sprinkle the remaining grated Parmesan.
Bake and cook for about 30 minutes at 375°F. In the last 5 minutes, let the surface grill.
Our baked pasta with sausage and ham is ready. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Enjoy your meal.
