CHRISTMAS BREADSTICKS WITH PESTO are a delicious and perfect idea to celebrate the Christmas season in an original way. These snacks are simple to make and are ideal to enjoy both as an appetizer and as an accompaniment to a Christmas aperitif.
The base of the breadsticks is puff pastry, which is enriched with the strong flavor of pesto. With very few ingredients you already have at home you will prepare some scenic effect snacks with an irresistible taste. Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular)
- 3 tablespoons pesto
- 1 egg yolk
- to taste dried oregano
- 4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Steps
Preheat the oven to 355 degrees Fahrenheit.
Unroll the rectangular puff pastry and place it on the baking tray.
Spread 3 tablespoons of Genoese Pesto on top and a generous sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
Using the parchment paper, fold the pastry over itself (as if closing a book)
Brush the entire surface with the beaten egg yolk and sprinkle the dried oregano.
Using a knife or a pastry wheel, cut 12 strips.
Twist each strip into a spiral.
Bake at 355 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Place them on a rectangular tray and delicately tie them with a jute ribbon
