The creamy pastina with cheese is one of those recipes that need no introduction. It’s the dish I make on Sunday evening, when the weekend ends and there’s a need for something that instantly makes you feel better. A simple comfort food with a delicate taste, that smells of home and slow moments.
It’s a recipe I’ve been eating forever and it reminds me of when I was a child, with the warm pastina served in a bowl, maybe too big for my hands, and a few, simple things that were enough to be happy. A dish made of small gestures, of waiting by the stove, and of steaming spoons.
Today, I also make it for my children, who love it. The same enveloping creaminess, the same reassuring taste that wins you over at the first taste.
It’s one of those recipes that cross time without changing, capable of bringing everyone together and turning an ordinary evening into a special moment, to be shared at the table, generation after generation.
