Ingredients

  • 4 1/4 cups water (+ 1 glass)
  • 4 bags black tea (or green tea)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 peaches (ripe)
  • A few leaves mint (optional)

Steps

  • Wash the peaches, peel them, remove the pit, and cut into pieces. Place them in a pot along with the sugar, a glass of water, and cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the peaches are soft and the sugar has completely dissolved. This will take about 10-15 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, take another pot and bring the water to a boil. Turn off the heat and immerse the tea bags. Let them steep for about 5/7 minutes.

    Remove the tea bags and let it cool.

  • At this point, pour the tea into the pot with the peaches and stir. Cover with a lid and let it sit for 30 minutes.

    After this time, strain the tea through a fine mesh strainer to remove the peach pieces and obtain a clear liquid.

    Transfer the strained tea into a pitcher and let it cool completely in the refrigerator.

  • Our Homemade Peach Iced Tea is ready. Serve it in large glasses with peach slices and a few mint leaves!

Storage and Tips …

Store in the fridge and consume within 2/3 days.
