Today I will reveal a trick to make a tart as simple as it is irresistible. You just need to put all the ingredients in a blender and in a few minutes, you’ll have a perfect dough to make a delicious soft and crumbly tart.

This tart is the perfect solution when you want to make something sweet quickly, without compromising the taste. You can fill it as you prefer. I used Strawberry Jam but it is also great with ACE Jam or with Plum Jam.

Serve it with a cup of Hot Chocolate or a simple coffee.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter (cold, cubed)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • as needed jam
  • as needed powdered sugar (optional for dusting)

Steps

  • Put the flour, cold cubed butter, sugar, eggs, baking powder, and a pinch of salt in the blender. Blend all ingredients until you have a sandy and homogeneous dough.

  • Transfer the dough to the work surface and quickly work it with your hands until you get a compact ball. Wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.

  • Preheat the oven to 330 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Take the shortcrust pastry from the fridge, cut about 3/4 of it and roll it out with a rolling pin until you form a circle about 1/8 inch thick.

  • Transfer the rolled dough into the pan and adapt it to the edges.

  • Prick the base with a fork, pour the chosen jam on the tart base, and spread it evenly.

  • Roll out the reserved quarter of shortcrust pastry and use the heart-shaped cookie cutters to cut out hearts of various sizes.

  • Place them on the jam and bake for about 25/30 minutes until golden brown.

  • Remove the tart from the oven and let it cool completely before transferring it to a slate plate or a cake stand.

  • If you like, dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy your snack!
