Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Basmati rice
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen peas
  • 5.3 oz cooked ham (diced)
  • to taste salt
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil

Steps

  • Start by washing the basmati rice under running water to remove excess starch, then cook it in a pot with salted water.

  • Drain the rice al dente and let it cool in a glass or ceramic bowl

  • Meanwhile, cook the peas in another small pot with very little water.

    Once ready, drain them and add them to the basmati rice.

  • Add the diced cooked ham, adjust with salt and extra virgin olive oil, and gently mix.

  • Our basmati rice salad is ready.

  • Serve in individual bowls

Storage and Tips…

Store in the fridge in an airtight container or freeze

Consume within 2/3 days

You can replace the cooked ham with diced bresaola or mortadella.
