- 1 pandoro
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1.7 oz limoncello (for the cream)
- 3.4 oz milk
- 2.7 oz limoncello (for soaking)
- as needed lemon (grated zest)

Let’s prepare the limoncello cream and the soaking mix
In a bowl, whip the cream with the powdered sugar until it becomes firm. I used an electric whisk for this operation.
Add the mascarpone and blend until creamy.
Add the limoncello and mix quickly. Place the resulting cream into a pastry bag with a star nozzle.
In a bowl, prepare a soaking mix with milk and limoncello. You can increase the amount of liqueur to your taste.
Let’s prepare the pandoro
Cut the base of the pandoro to obtain two stars about 3/4 inch thick.
Place the larger slice on a Christmas plate and soak it with the milk and limoncello mix.
Cover the entire star with limoncello cream and sprinkle with grated lemon zest.
Stack the second star, already soaked with the mix, cover with the cream, and decorate with lemon zest or as desired.
