Steps
LET’S MIX THE MEATBALLS
First, soak the sandwich bread in milk for about 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, place the minced meat. Add the eggs, grated Parmesan, squeezed slices of sandwich bread, chopped parsley, minced garlic, and salt.
Mix the ingredients well until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. If the mixture is too soft, you can add a tablespoon of breadcrumbs.
Form meatballs the size of a ping pong ball and place them on a tray.
Let’s cook the meatballs in the sauce.
In a large pan, heat a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Add the finely chopped onion and let it become golden.
Place the meatballs in the pan, sprinkle with dried parsley, and let them brown, taking care to stir them with only the movement of the pan.
At this point, add the tomato sauce, oregano, salt, raise the heat, and cook with the lid on for about 5 minutes, then lower the heat and continue cooking for 20/25 minutes. If necessary, turn the meatballs gently with a wooden spoon or a spatula.
