I don’t know about you, but I could live on pasta. Any excuse is good to put on some water and whip up something creamy and tasty.
Today, with time running out and hunger knocking hard, I pulled a few lifesaving ingredients out of the fridge… and she was born: pasta with creamy sauce and bacon, ready in a flash and perfect for those who want a knockout first course without complicating life.
The great thing about this recipe? You only need three basic ingredients: bacon, cream, and tomato puree. In 20 minutes, we bring to the table a dish that smells like comfort food and wins at the first taste.

Ingredients
- 12 oz penne rigate
- 7 oz bacon
- 2/3 cup cooking cream
- 7 oz tomato puree
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper

Steps
We bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne according to the package instructions.
Meanwhile, we heat the extra virgin olive oil in a pan and brown the bacon until golden and crispy.
We add the tomato puree, stir and let it flavor for a couple of minutes over medium heat.
We pour the cooking cream into the pan, adjust with salt and pepper, and mix well until we obtain a creamy sauce.
We drain the penne, toss them in the pan with the sauce, and sauté them to flavor well.
