Ingredients
- 2.2 lbs potatoes
- 1 egg
- 1.5 cups grated Parmesan cheese
- to taste salt
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 3.5 oz cooked ham (sliced)
- 3.5 oz provola cheese (sliced)
Tools
- Bowl
- Potato Masher
- Springform Pan 8/9 inches
Steps
Peel the potatoes and cut them into pieces.
Cook them in salted water until they are soft but not mushy.
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 356 degrees Fahrenheit.
Drain the potatoes well, put them in a large bowl, and coarsely mash them with a fork.
Add the egg, grated Parmesan, breadcrumbs, salt, and mix until all ingredients are well combined.
Take a baking pan and line it with parchment paper or grease it with some butter. I often use a non-stick spray for this operation.
Put a layer of mashed potatoes at the bottom of the pan.
Add the cooked ham and provola cheese, both sliced.
Cover with the remaining potatoes and bake for about 25/30 minutes or until the pie is golden on the surface and the cheese is melted.
Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Enjoy your dinner!
