Ingredients
- 1 roll puff pastry
- 3 tablespoons apricot jam
- 2 apples
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- as needed lemon juice
- 1 egg yolk

Steps
First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Peel the apples, remove the core, and slice them. Place them in a bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent oxidation.
Roll out the puff pastry and with the help of a knife, cut out a simple stocking shape as shown in the photo.
Place the stocking on the lined baking tray and spread the jam, being careful to leave half an inch of free edge.
Arrange the apples in a row and with the puff pastry scraps, create the toe and heel of the stocking. Use pastry strips to create diamonds.
Brush the puff pastry with the beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Bake for about 20 minutes until golden.
