Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 3.5 oz stracchino cheese
  • 3.5 oz cooked ham
  • A few leaves basil (fresh)
  • as needed dried beans (for baking)

  • Cookie cutter heart-shaped

Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 355°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Unroll the puff pastry, and using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out about 10-12 little hearts.

  • Place the cut-out shapes on the lined baking sheet.

  • Using a slightly smaller cookie cutter, cut out smaller hearts in the center of the shapes, being careful not to puncture the puff pastry. SEE PHOTO

  • Distribute the beans inside the hearts, being careful to leave the edge free.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12/15 minutes until golden.

    Remove from oven and let cool.

  • Remove the beans and fill the center with stracchino cheese. Add rolled slices of prosciutto and garnish with a fresh basil leaf.

Store covered by a cake cover.
