Ingredients

  • 8 chicken and turkey hot dogs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 roll puff pastry
  • to taste sugar eyes

Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 356 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into long, narrow strips about 1/4 inch wide.

  • Wrap each hot dog roughly with a strip of puff pastry, leaving small gaps.

  • Place the mummy hot dogs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Brush each mummy with a little beaten egg yolk to achieve a nice golden color.

  • Bake in the already hot oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden and puffy.

  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before transferring them to a slate platter.
