Puff Pastry Ties with Feta and Spinach

All you need is a roll of puff pastry and in no time you can prepare puff pastry ties with feta and spinach.

They are perfect for preparing a tasty appetizer for Father’s Day.

For the filling, you can get creative by substituting spinach and feta with cold cuts and cheeses of your choice.

Ingredients

  • 1 roll puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 3.5 oz spinach, cooked, boiled
  • 1.75 oz feta
  • 1 egg yolk
  • to taste poppy seeds

Tools

  • Cookie Cutter Tie-Shaped
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Brush
  • Small Bowl

Steps

  • First, preheat the oven to 356°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Roll out the puff pastry and use a tie-shaped cookie cutter to cut out 10 shapes.

    Filling ties
  • Place 5 ties on the baking sheet and fill with spinach previously cooked and sautéed in butter.

  • Add diced feta.

  • Close the ties by placing the remaining shapes on top and seal the edges well with your fingers.

  • Brush the surface with beaten egg yolk and decorate with poppy seeds.

  • Bake and cook for about 20 minutes until golden brown.

    Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Storage and Tips …

Store covered with a cake dome.

Consume within 2 days.
