This recipe is versatile and elegant, perfect as an appetizer but also for an alternative dinner. The pears along with the gorgonzola give a unique and irresistible flavor.

Ingredients

  • 5 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1 pear
  • 9 oz gorgonzola
  • 2 eggs
  • 3.5 oz ricotta
  • 1.75 oz grated parmesan
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • to taste honey
  • to taste pistachios
  • to taste milk (optional)

Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 356°F.

    Cut the pear into quarters, remove the core, and slice it thinly.

    In a bowl, break the eggs, add the ricotta, salt and pepper, the grated parmesan and whisk until you get a smooth mixture. To make it more liquid, you can add a splash of milk.

  • Unroll the phyllo dough and crinkle each sheet onto itself. Arrange it on the baking pan lined with parchment paper, to achieve a rustic look as in the picture.

    Arrange the pears and gorgonzola between the folds of the phyllo dough and then distribute the egg mixture on the surface.

    Bake for 15/20 minutes at 356°F.

    Once cooked, take it out of the oven and let it cool slightly.
