Savory Croissants with Sausage

Ingredients

  • 1 roll puff pastry (round)
  • 5.3 oz chicken sausage
  • 2.8 oz spreadable fresh cheese
  • 1 egg
  • to taste poppy seeds

Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 356°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Unroll the round puff pastry and, with the help of a pastry wheel, cut out 8 wedges similar to pizza slices

  • Distribute the sausage and spreadable fresh cheese near the base of each wedge.

  • Roll each wedge of puff pastry starting from the widest part towards the tip, creating a croissant shape.

  • Brush the top of each croissant with beaten egg to give them a nice golden color during baking.

  • Sprinkle with poppy seeds and bake for 15/20 minutes until golden.
