And speaking of puff pastry don’t miss the following recipes:

- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 4
- Cooking methods: Electric Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All Seasons
Ingredients
- 1 roll puff pastry
- 3.5 oz cooked ham
- Half red bell pepper
- 3.5 oz fontina cheese
- 1 egg yolk
- to taste poppy seeds
- to taste dried parsley
Tools
- Baking Tray
- Grater
- Knife
- Brush
- Bowl
Steps
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wash the bell pepper and cut it in half. Remove the seeds and membranes and slice it finely. I only used half, but for a stronger flavor, you can easily increase the amount.
Unroll the puff pastry on a baking tray and place the cooked ham in the center.
Add the grated fontina cheese and sliced peppers, then sprinkle with dried parsley.
At this point, cut the pastry to create side strips.
Close the top and bottom of the strudel, then fold the strips over themselves to braid them. To do this operation correctly, take a good look at the photo above.
Brush the entire surface with the beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
Bake and cook for 20/25 minutes until golden.
Our savory pepper strudel is ready.
Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Enjoy your meal!
