FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Can the savory pie be frozen?
Yes, you can freeze the savory pie once cooked and cooled. Wrap it well in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil. To consume, defrost in the refrigerator and reheat in the oven for 10-15 minutes at 350°F.
Can I add other ingredients to the filling?
Certainly! You can enrich the filling with ingredients like sautéed onions, sautéed mushrooms, or grilled peppers. Make sure the additional ingredients are well-cooked and free of excess liquids to maintain the ideal texture of the pie.
What cheese can I use instead of mozzarella?
You can replace mozzarella with cheeses like provolone, smoked scamorza or stracchino, depending on the desired taste. These cheeses melt well and add flavor to the filling.
