Ingredients

  • 1 roll puff pastry
  • 1 zucchini
  • 8 cherry tomatoes
  • 2.8 oz fontina cheese
  • 1 egg yolk
  • to taste oregano
  • to taste salt
  • 2 sprays extra virgin olive oil

Steps

  • First, preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

  • Wash the zucchini well under running water, remove the ends, and slice thinly.

    Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half or into quarters.

    Grate the fontina cheese julienne style.

  • Unroll the puff pastry and using a knife, shape it into the classic dove form.

    To do this, you can use a stencil or a dove mold.

  • Prick the base with a fork and evenly distribute the sliced zucchini and cut cherry tomatoes, leaving at least a half-inch border.

  • Sprinkle with salt, dust with oregano, and spread the grated fontina cheese.

  • Brush the free edges with beaten egg yolk and finish with two sprays of extra virgin olive oil.

  • Bake for about 20/25 minutes until golden brown.

    Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
