Ingredients
- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 apple
- Half packet baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- as needed powdered sugar (for decoration)
Tools
- 2 Bowls
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Electric beaters
- Plastic wrap
Steps
In a large bowl, sift the flour with the baking powder and the pinch of salt.
In another bowl, beat the softened butter with the sugar until you obtain a cream. Add the egg and continue to mix.
For this operation, I recommend using electric beaters.
Peel the apple, grate it, and add it to the mixture you just prepared.
At this point, add the dry ingredients to our dough, a little at a time, and mix until all the ingredients are combined.
Transfer the obtained dough to a work surface and compact it until you form a ball, which you will wrap in plastic wrap.
Put the dough in the fridge to rest for at least an hour.
After this time, preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Take our dough from the fridge and form balls the size of a walnut.
Place them on the baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
Our soft cookies with grated apples are ready. Dust generously with powdered sugar before serving!
