Swordfish alla pizzaiola

Swordfish alla pizzaiola is a very tasty fish-based second course but easy and quick to prepare.

You just need to have some frozen fish fillets in the freezer and a few other ingredients, and you will have a rich and delicious dinner, perfect even when you have guests over for dinner.

In fact, you can prepare this dish in advance and serve it later slightly warmed, perhaps accompanied by toasted bread slices and mashed potatoes!

Ingredients

  • 8 slices swordfish
  • 1 package canned cherry tomatoes
  • 20 black olives
  • 20 green olives
  • 10 capers
  • to taste oregano
  • to taste parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt

Steps

  • Pit the green and black olives with the appropriate tool and set them aside. You can also buy them already pitted!

  • Take a large pan and add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and two garlic cloves. Sauté them, then add peeled cherry tomatoes, pitted olives, capers, oregano, parsley, and salt.

  • Stir carefully, cover, and cook for about 15 minutes.

  • Now, add the previously thawed swordfish slices and continue cooking for about 10 minutes per side.

    Let it rest for 10 minutes before plating with extreme delicacy.
