Vanilla pudding with the Bimby

The vanilla pudding is a classic spoon dessert much loved, especially by children.

Thanks to the Bimby, it can be prepared simply and quickly. Its soft and creamy texture, enriched with the delicate aroma and flavor of vanilla, makes it an irresistible dessert for all occasions, from Valentine’s Day to Mother’s Day or just for a healthy snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet vanillin
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Tools

You can use either the Bimby or a saucepan

  • Pot
  • Whisk
  • Plastic Wrap

Steps

  • Pour the milk into the Bimby bowl.

  • Add the egg, sugar, vanillin, and cornstarch.

  • Cook the mixture at 194°F for 7-8 minutes at speed 4.

  • Pour the pudding into 4 ramekins or molds or into a bowl with a capacity of 500 ml, covering the surface with plastic wrap.

  • Let it cool to room temperature, then put it in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours or until the pudding has set.

  • Serve the cold vanilla pudding, perhaps garnished with chocolate topping, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit of your choice.

  • Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat.

    In the meantime, in a bowl beat the egg with the sugar and vanillin. Add the cornstarch and mix well.

  • Slowly pour the egg mixture into the saucepan with the hot milk, stirring constantly with a whisk to prevent lumps.

  • Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until the pudding begins to thicken. This will take about 5-7 minutes.

  • When the pudding has reached the desired consistency, remove from heat and pour into individual ramekins or a large bowl.

  • Again, cover the pudding with plastic wrap and let it cool to room temperature, then put it in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours or until the pudding has set.
