Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2/3 cup coffee
- 3.5 oz powdered sugar
- 0.35 oz gelatin sheets
- coffee beans (as needed for decoration)
Tools
- Small Pot
- Cutting Board
- Bowl
- Mixer
- 4 Serving Cups or glass jars
- Piping Bag
Steps
First, prepare the coffee. I made it with a 4-cup moka pot, but a coffee machine will work just fine. The important thing is that the amount is as indicated in the ingredients above. Then, soak the gelatin sheets in a bowl with cold water.
Next, pour 1.5 cups of heavy cream into a small pot with the sugar and coffee and place on the heat until it almost reaches a boil. Then remove from the heat, add the well-squeezed gelatin, and stir until it is dissolved. Place the remaining cream in the refrigerator, as it needs to be very cold to be whipped for decoration.
Transfer the coffee-flavored cream to the serving cups and place them in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until set. Meanwhile, put the cold cream from the fridge into a bowl and whip it with the electric mixer until smooth and frothy.
I didn’t add sugar because it’s not necessary. If you prefer it a bit sweet, you can add some powdered sugar. Then transfer the whipped cream to a piping bag. After the resting time, take the cups and add some whipped cream to each one.
Finally, decorate with some coffee beans and serve.
