Crispy chicken is a simple and tasty second course, perfect for an everyday dinner. It is nothing more than a variant of breaded chicken fillets in an air fryer, equally quick and sure to be loved by both young and old.
To prepare this recipe, the chicken breast fillets are floured, dipped in egg, and then coated with coarsely crumbled corn flakes. This coating makes the chicken breast fillets super crispy and tasty, and when cooked in the air fryer, they’ll be even better.
It’s also possible to dip the chicken in milk instead of beaten eggs. This way, you’ll have a perfect recipe for those allergic to or intolerant of eggs. Ingredients
- 13.4 oz chicken (fillets)
- 2 eggs
- 5.3 oz corn flakes
- all-purpose flour (as needed)
- extra virgin olive oil (as needed)
Tools
- Air Fryer
- 2 Bowls
Steps
For this recipe, I used pre-sliced chicken fillets. Alternatively, you can buy a whole chicken breast and cut it into fairly thick slices. Then coat the chicken fillets in flour, dip them in beaten eggs, and finally coat them with coarsely crumbled corn flakes.
Then transfer the chicken to the basket of the air fryer, drizzle a little oil on the surface and cook at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes or until well browned, turning them halfway through cooking. Obviously, the cooking times are relative as they depend on the type of air fryer you have.
The crispy chicken in the air fryer is ready to be served.
