If you know and love banana bread, which I plan to make very soon, you can’t help but try avocado bread! A fantastic avocado recipe that is prepared in just a few minutes, soft and fragrant, with a crunchy note provided by hazelnut crumbs. A very soft plumcake, perfect for everyday breakfast, but also for a snack, perhaps with a good cup of tea. Use a properly ripened avocado (you can tell because the flesh is slightly soft under the pressure of your fingertips, but it shouldn’t dent; in that case, the fruit is overripe), to serve this nutritious fruit even in a sweet version appreciated by children. If you prefer a classic plumcake here you find a delicious chocolate recipe.

Let’s get to work and prepare the avocado bread recipe together!

Steps to prepare avocado bread

  • To prepare the avocado bread, start by cutting the ripe avocado in half. Scoop out 4.25 oz of the flesh and place it in the blender container. Peel the apple and cut it into chunks. Also add lemon juice and some organic zest. Blend avocado and apple until you get a smooth cream.

  • Sift the flour into a bowl. Add the sifted baking powder, sugar, hazelnut crumbs or chopped almonds, coconut oil and mix. Add the blended avocado and mix until you get a homogeneous mixture. Finish with oat milk and salt.

  • Line the loaf pan with parchment paper. Pour in the mixture and bake at 356°F, static oven, for about 40 minutes, always doing the toothpick test. Let it cool and serve.
