  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Steps for preparing the chocolate crazy cake

  • Prepare the cake starting with the baking pan: brush it with vegetable oil. In one corner, sift the all-purpose flour. In another corner, add the unsweetened cocoa powder, also sifted.

  • Add the granulated sugar, then water, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, or grated organic citrus zest. Add the baking soda, and finally, the vinegar. Mix with a hand whisk until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.

  • Decorate with chocolate chips and bake at 350°F, static, for about 35 minutes. Do the toothpick test anyway. Let it cool, unmold, and serve.

The cake keeps for a few days under a glass dome.
