invisible apple cake

The invisible cake is called so because it is very apple-y, meaning the amount of batter compared to the apples is really minimal. The invisible apple, honey, and walnut cake is a version that I enriched with these last two ingredients and fell madly in love with it. I belong to the category for which apple cake cures everything, almost more than chocolate, so eating it with a good cup of citrus tea really warmed my heart. If you belong to this category too, you must try it. Let’s get to work and prepare the invisible apple cake together.

  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • Half packet Baking powder
  • 1 Lemon juice

Tools

Preparation of the invisible apple cake

  • First, let’s peel the apples. Then slice them very thinly, for which a mandoline will be necessary, so be very careful with your fingers! Drizzle the slices with lemon juice to prevent them from browning.

  • More than a batter, it’s a paste. To make it, warm the milk and dissolve the honey in it. At this point, beat the eggs with a fork, adding the salt and sugar. Combine the milk and then the sifted flour with the baking powder, mixing very well to avoid lumps. Scent with cinnamon. Finish by adding the apples and mixing to distribute them evenly, also adding the coarsely chopped walnuts.

  • Preheat the oven to 356°F with static function. Grease a 9-inch springform pan or line it with parchment paper and fill with the cake batter. If the batter drips from the bottom, cover the base of the pan with aluminum foil. Bake for about an hour.

Storage

You can store the cake for 2 or 3 days under a glass dome.
