Ingredients for preparing the Nutella roll

  • 80 g all-purpose flour
  • 80 g sugar

Steps for preparing the Nutella roll

  • Break the eggs and separate the whites from the yolks. Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form, gradually adding 60 g of sugar little by little. They will be perfectly whipped when lifting the whisks forms a tuft of white foam.

  • Beat the yolks with the remaining sugar. Add them to the egg whites and mix gently. Incorporate the sifted flour and a pinch of salt. Mix again until you have a homogeneous foam. Pour into the baking tray covered with baking paper and level the surface. Bake at 350°F in a static oven for 12-15 minutes.

  • Once baked, immediately flip the sponge cake onto a clean cloth, remove the baking paper, and roll the sponge cake with the help of the cloth. Let it cool completely, unroll, and spread the entire surface with Nutella. Roll it up again and sprinkle the surface with powdered sugar.

Storage

Keep the roll under a glass dome for two to three days.
