Steps for preparing the pandoro log with Nutella and mascarpone

  • Chop the dark chocolate. Place it in a bowl with the butter and melt it in a double boiler or microwave. Then pour it into a baking tray lined with parchment paper and, using a kitchen brush, spread it to form a thin layer. Then put it in the fridge to solidify for at least an hour.

Cut the pandoro into vertical slices and lay them on a sheet of plastic wrap. Slightly flatten with a rolling pin and soak with coffee. Spread them with Nutella and mascarpone. Using the plastic wrap, roll it to form a log. Wrap well with the plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least an hour.

  • After the resting time, remove the log from the plastic wrap, cut the ends. Spread with the jam. Break the chocolate sheet prepared earlier and decorate the log. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
