A delicious and easy appetizer to prepare, the puff pastry braid with mortadella and cheese is too tasty not to try. All it takes is the usual roll of rectangular puff pastry often sitting in our fridge unused, and a few other ingredients to make our guests happy. - 1 roll rectangular puff pastry
- 5.3 oz sliced scamorza
- 5.3 oz mortadella
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons milk

Steps to prepare the puff pastry braid with mortadella and cheese
Let’s prepare our braid. Start by breaking an egg and quickly mixing it with the milk. Set aside.
Prepare the filling: cut the cheese and mortadella into strips. Set aside.
Unroll the rectangular puff pastry. Cut it into 3 strips lengthwise. Place the cheese and mortadella in the center of each strip. Close tightly to form 3 logs. Braid them.
Brush with egg and milk. Bake at 356°F for 20-25 minutes.
Storage
To store our braid, you can wrap it with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge for a couple of days. Warm it in the oven for a few minutes.
