Steps for Preparing Puff Pastry Bundles with Pizza Topping
Place the tomato sauce in a bowl. Season with dried oregano, salt, and pepper, and mix. Cut the cheese into small cubes.
Unroll the puff pastry. Divide it into 4 rectangles. On half of the rectangles, make cuts without reaching the edges. On the uncut half, place a spoonful of sauce and the cheese cubes. Fold the rectangle in half and seal the bundle by pressing the edges with a fork.
Mix the egg yolk with the milk. Brush the bundles, placed on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, with the yolk mixture and sprinkle the surface with poppy seeds. Bake in a 350°F (static oven) for about 20 minutes. Serve them.
Storage
Store the bundles in the fridge well covered with plastic wrap for two or three days.
