Steps for Preparing Quick Tarts
In a bowl, place the butter in pieces. Add the sifted flour. Work quickly and add the egg, sugar, salt, vanilla. Work with your hands until you get large crumbs.
I used silicone molds that do not need to be greased. Press the crumbs into the bottom of the molds to form the base and edges of the tarts.
Fill the tarts with jam or spreadable cream. Close them with more crumbs or sliced almonds. Bake in a static oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes. Let cool and serve.
