Steps for preparing the ricotta ring cake
To prepare our ring cake, start by placing the ricotta in a bowl. Break an egg and add it to the ricotta and begin to work with a whisk.
Add the sugar and then the milk, mixing everything. Add the sifted flour, the oil, and then the sifted baking powder. Work with the whisk again, making sure no lumps form.
Finish with the vanilla and salt. Mix everything. Grease the ring mold. Pour the mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F, static, and bake for about 45 minutes, still doing the toothpick test. Remove from the mold only once the cake has cooled. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
Storage
We can keep our ring cake for two or three days under a cake dome.
