The savory tuna log (I use vegan tuna) is a quick, eye-catching appetizer perfect for parties. Made with sandwich bread and filled with tuna, mayonnaise, and pickles, this no-bake dish is very soft and ready in minutes. Its original shape, reminiscent of a log, makes it ideal for the Christmas season or special occasions, surprising guests with simplicity and flavor.
Thanks to its creaminess and lightness, the savory tuna log is a versatile recipe: you can enrich it with lamb’s lettuce, arugula, or pomegranate for a touch of color and freshness.
A dish that can be prepared in advance and easily stored in the refrigerator, the savory tuna log is the perfect solution for those looking for an easy, quick, and impressive Christmas appetizer.

Steps for preparing the savory tuna log
First, drain the tuna and place it in a bowl. Add the mayonnaise and mix without breaking the tuna too much. Chop the pickles and add them to the tuna and mayonnaise.
Spread out a sheet of plastic wrap. Place the slices of bread, slightly overlapping them on the long side. Flatten them with a rolling pin. Spread the tuna and mayonnaise mixture. Cover with the lamb’s lettuce leaves (or arugula if you prefer). Using the plastic wrap, roll it up into a long log.
After letting the roll rest in the fridge for a couple of hours, remove the plastic wrap. Cover it with mayonnaise and use a fork to create wood grain. You can cut a piece of the roll at an angle and attach it to the side to create a Y. Just before serving, decorate with pomegranate seeds.
Storage
You can store the log in the fridge for 24 hours.
