Ingredients for the preparation of the spiced tart

  • 1 cup flour type 1
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 9 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • to taste cinnamon, cloves, orange zest
  • 1 egg
  • 1 yolk
  • 1 1/3 cups apricot jam
  • 3/4 cup sliced almonds

Steps for the preparation of the spiced tart

  • Prepare the flavored sugar by blending the sugar with cinnamon, cloves, and organic orange zest. In a bowl, pour the sifted flours and work them with cold butter. Add the sugar, one egg, and one yolk, salt. Work first in the bowl then on a work surface until you have a smooth dough. Wrap with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

  • Between two sheets of parchment paper or with a little flour, roll out the pastry and place it in a tart pan, removing the excess pastry. Prick the base with a fork.

  • Fill with jam, decorate with almond slices, and bake at 350°F, static, for 40-45 minutes. Let cool completely before unmolding.

Storage

You can keep it for a few days under a glass dome.
