Steps for Preparing Walnut Cookies

  • Firstly, use the chopper to chop the walnuts. Also chop the hazelnuts. For a more intense flavor, you can toast the hazelnuts in a static oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.

  • In a bowl, place the egg whites. Gradually adding the powdered sugar, work them with the electric beaters. They should not be whipped into peaks. You should get a white cream. Add the walnuts in two or more stages, mixing well. Finish with the hazelnuts. Work until you get a homogeneous mixture. If you like, add some grated orange zest for flavor.

  • With wet hands, take walnut-sized portions of the mixture and form the cookies by rolling them in the powdered sugar. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350°F, static, for about 20 minutes. Let the cookies cool completely, then let them rest for about thirty minutes before serving.

Storage

You can store the cookies for 4-5 days in a well-sealed tin box.
