Have you ever tried whipped salted caramel? It’s a unique delight, also called caramel ganache, perfect for filling cakes, tarts, for topping cookies, muffins, irresistible and easy to prepare. If you prefer the taste of classic caramel you can omit the salt, which, in my opinion, gives a special note to this cream. Let’s get to work and prepare the whipped salted caramel together.

Steps for preparing whipped salted caramel
First, pour the sugar into a thick-bottomed saucepan. Let it caramelize without stirring, just rotate the saucepan to ensure the sugar gradually gets the same heat.
While the sugar melts, heat the cream. When the sugar is a nice brown color, gradually add the cream while stirring with a hand whisk. Cook over low heat until the cream stops bubbling.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the butter in pieces and the salt. Mix well and let it cool. Place in the fridge for 12 hours. After resting in the fridge, whip the mixture with an electric mixer until it becomes fluffy.
Storage
You can store the salted caramel in the fridge for about a week.
